Job Details:
The Telephone Operator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls on our Avaya Switchboard, as well as monitoring hospital safety systems Responsibilities of the Telephone Operator include:
Operates console and responds to all calls promptly Operator is familiar with codes and alarms Operator is knowledgeable on activation of beeper Performs duties within the Telecommunications department Complies with dress code Conducts him or herself in a professional manner on behalf of MMC Maintains a safe work environment Operator handles patient information correctly Operator is familiar with codes and alarms Operator is knowledgeable on activation of beeper(s) Performs duties within the Telecommunications department Conducts herself or himself in a professional manner on behalf of MMC Complies with dress code Accepts additional duties as needed Requirements for the Telephone Operator role include:
High School Graduate or equivalent Prior experience with switchboard operations preferred Excellent oral communications skills required.
