Good Shepherd Hospice Inpatient Unit at Mercy Hospital is a 12 bed unit located within our Rockville Centre based hospital campus.
Job Details:
This role is responsible for providing clerical and receptionist duties at our Hospice Inpatient Center.
This includes admitting all patients via electronic medical records, maintaining electronic patient charts, administrative processing of admissions, discharges and transfers, ensuring appropriate departments and personnel are notified of admissions, discharges, transfers, expirations and condition changes per established procedures, and providing administrative support for the Hospice program as needed.
Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent experience Related experience in a hospital or SNF setting Strong computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records Excellent organizational/communication skills and customer service skills Ability to multi-task and knowledge of medical terminology.
Hospice experience a plus.
